President - Ahranee Vijayaseelan

Ahranee is Special Counsel at Hall & Wilcox Lawyers in the Insurance team. She has worked in the insurance industry since 2002, which has encompassed work both in Sydney and in London. Ahranee has specialised in insurance law during her 9 years of post-admission experience, focussing on public liability risks, product defect claims, recovery actions, dispute resolution and policy interpretation. Ahranee is involved in Hall & Wilcox’s pro bono and community involvement program including volunteering for initiatives run by the Australian Business & Community Network, a partnership of business leaders and organisations working on mentoring programs with high school students. She has also volunteered at the Inner City Legal Centre

Vice President – Rhiannon Eagles

Rhiannon is a Senior Associate at Clyde & Co lawyers in their insurance & reinsurance and commercial litigation teams. She has over 7 years' experience advising and acting for insurers and reinsurers on a range of coverage and liability issues with a particular focus on financial lines, D&O, general and public liability, and warranty and indemnity policies. She also advises and represents companies and their directors and officers in regulatory investigations and proceedings.

Rachel is a Senior Property Claims Specialist at Chubb Insurance Company of Australia. She has been with Chubb since 2002, and worked as a Senior Claims Examiner in their London office before moving to Sydney in May 2013. During her time at Chubb, Rachel was seconded to assist with the Hurricane Sandy catastrophe in Virginia USA, and Sydney in January 2013 following the Australia Day storms. Rachel has been in property claims for twenty years also working at Royal Sun Alliance, Cunningham Lindsey and Miller Fisher.

Coralie is a Principal and Equity Shareholder at The Procare Group, having joined the firm in 2002. She is actively engaged in the Investigation Division of the firm and specialises in the management of surveillance services, witness location and fraud matters. She currently manages a large national team of investigators, profilers, field operatives and support staff. Prior to joining Procare, Coralie worked at Macquarie Bank and has completed a Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice (Griffith University), is a member of the Institute of Criminology, University of Sydney and holds other certificates including Certificate IV in Human Resource Management and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

MEMBERSHIP & RSVP LIAISON - SAM MCNALLY

Sam is an Associate at Wotton + Kearney Lawyers. Sam specialises in insurance law advising primarily on insurance claims involving public liability, property damage, product liability and professional indemnity. Sam has particular interest in insurance coverage issues and the application of contractual indemnities. Sam holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Psychology and has spent time at the University of Gothenburg having been awarded a scholarship in European law.

Carly is Assistant Vice President, Claims for Allied World Assurance Company and is responsible for managing Professional Liability, Casualty and Medical Malpractice claims for the Asia-Pacific region. Carly has extensive industry knowledge and in-depth understanding of claims management acquired from over 18 years international experience in third party lines claims roles. Prior to joining Allied World, Carly was a Senior Claims Adjuster for QBE European Operations for seven years where she gained a comprehensive understanding of the London market and its practices. Carly’s particular experience is in managing and resolving complex and high value professional indemnity claims for a range of different professions including blue-chip companies, government bodies, engineers, accountants and law firms together with managing medical malpractice claims for private health care facilities.

Committee Member - Amanda Seguna

Amanda is a Senior Associate in the Insurance Law & Litigation group at Lander & Rogers. Amanda specialises in the areas of public liability, medical negligence and product defect claims. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws with a focus on Insurance. Prior to commencing in private practice Amanda completed a 2 year associateship with Samios DCJ in the District Court of Queensland. Amanda is active in the insurance industry and regularly presents on topical issues in her areas of speciality. Amanda has also had the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the key commercial issues facing insurers following a nine month secondment with a Lloyds Underwriter in 2013 and an Australian Insurer in 2010.

Committee Member - Debra Flynn

Debra is Claims Manager at Xchanging, a DXC Technology Company and currently heads up the NSW Liability Team. She has worked in the insurance industry since 1999, starting her career as an insurance broker in Dublin before moving to Sydney in 2006. From 2006 she worked as a Senior Claims Specialist at Marsh Pty Ltd for approximately 8.5 years until the Marsh claims team was acquired by Xchanging in 2015. Debra’s particular interest and experience is in managing and resolving high value, complex liability claims for a range of different clients including shopping centres, gymnasiums, banks, ski resorts, commercial properties and government bodies. Debra is a Senior Associate (CIP) of ANZIIF.
